It is fine to unload your baggage from the Cart Road, directly in front of the cottage. In recent times it has become less advisable to leave cars parked on the front for any great length of time, as sporadic checks are made and penalty tickets issued.

 

We have a lock-up garage for the exclusive and complimentary use of our guests. This facility is a pleasant, 8-minute stroll from the seafront property, along the river and almost entirely on the flat.

The garage, no.8, is the last in the row closest to the river and in the corner against the fence, takes normal cars up to the size of an estate: a Range Rover, for instance, is too tall, as the garage is 15’6’’ long, 7’4’’ wide and 6’ tall. 

 

Additionally, there are plenty of public car parks in lyme (at least 6), some of them very convenient. We prefer Monmouth Beach Car Park (on the flat from the cottage, although it does get busy in high season). Charmouth Road is a bit of a climb, perhaps 10 mins at a gentle pace, but perfect if you are not constantly on the go. Weekly tickets are available for these long term car parks from ticket machines on site. Also available by post or the LR Tourist centre (01297 442138).
